Just last week, September 12-22, I had the pleasure of participating in the 2012 National Conference for The Society for the Advancement of Sexual Health in San Antonio, Texas. Alongside Sharon O’ Hara, MA, MFT, and Debora Wardlow, BS, BSW, MA, I revealed new information on the topic of ‘Understanding Women who Love Psychopaths.’ Together, we revealed new information on the DSM-5 changes on the definition of psychopathy, the relationship between psychopathy and addiction, and advised the audience on how to deal with both psychopaths, and their partners in this very dangerous and oftentimes frustrating gray area. Much credit is due to Sandra Brown, MA, for her pioneering and diligent work with the population of women who have been unlucky enough to fall in love with a psychopath.
